How To Build A $50 Greenhouse – Image To Repin / Share

We found a great tutorial with full detailed instructions on how to build your own greenhouse or “hoop tunnel” on a budget. It is well written and has a lot of photos showing each step of the build. The link is after our introduction to the topic.
A greenhouse is a great asset for the gardener – it can give you a controlled environment for raising plants, even reducing the risk of damage from pests to yield better quality crops and greater productivity. Covering a part of the garden will enable you to extend the growing season, protect tender plants and try some crops suited to warmer climates, all of which means that you can enjoy gardening and harvesting crops for more months of the year! However, a new greenhouse can cost a lot of money, which defeats one of the most important goals of growing at home.
Money can be saved by using reclaimed materials as much as possible for your DIY project. Building your own has another advantage – it can easily be adapted to fit the size and shape of the area you have available.
The writer, David LaFerney has taken a lot of time to pass on all of his experience and methods that he has learned during this project so we can avoid making the same mistakes. The single main threat to your construction will be the weather – strong winds, heavy rain or snow can collapse this kind of structure if it is not designed correctly. As David found out with hindsight, adding a ridge pole makes all the difference! The build shows a simple way to use wire to reinforce the greenhouse as well.

A secret that he is about to reveal together with 3 old teachings that will change everything you think you know about preparedness:
