Chicken Coop Tour – Solar, Food, Water, Security. Photo – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmQlGF6wipg
In an emergency, chickens will provide meat and eggs for you and your family. They are easy to process, reproduce faster and are much easier to raise compared to other farm animals such as cattle or pigs. Getting started with your own small flock of backyard hens is an important survival strategy. Don’t feel intimidated by building your own chicken coop, it’s easier than it seems. The video shows all the features of an ideal chicken coop and you can use it as a guide for your designs.
It is important to make your coop predator-proof so make sure to take the following steps:
1. Rats, weasels and foxes can dig. So a coop with a simple dirt floor is going to be accessible to them.Prevent them from gaining access to your flock by using wood or tough wire mesh flooring.
2. The coop should be “rodent and snake proofed” which means covering and gaps or holes with wood or mesh. The type of mesh typically used for this work is known as “hardware cloth”. Rats and snakes can enter through surprisingly small holes – and it only needs one gap, so this work needs to be thorough.
3. Use quality materials and sturdy fasteners for walls and roof when building the coop.
If making your own plans, write or draw them out in detail first. But you don’t have to make your own coop because there are pre-made ones that only need to be assembled. Building or buying a chicken coop can range from free to hundreds or thousands of dollars. It really depends on how extravagant you want to go. It is also important to know the number of chickens you intend to raise before building your coop. Each chicken needs at least 2-3 square feet per bird inside the coop and at least 9 square feet per bird in the run (more is better). Chickens will completely clear a small area of vegetation quite fast so it’s desirable to move the daytime run to a fresh area fairly often.
With proper care, sunshine, enough space, food and grass to nibble on, your chickens should have minimal health problems and be a joy to raise and maintain.

A secret that he is about to reveal together with 3 old teachings that will change everything you think you know about preparedness:
