It’s refreshing to see someone who has the willingness to share such useful information freely, from someone who relies on what he has created to supply all of his electricity needs – we know that his information is trustworthy, thanks to recommendations by others in this field. LaMar has built his own cabin (at a cost of around $2000!) and with his own off grid installation, not only is the cost of living in this cabin really small but so is the impact on the environment!
With the high demand for utilities, growing world population and shrinking resources, the incentive to switch to an off grid power supply has never been better. Power companies are slow to respond to the environmental crisis that we all face so converting to home power generation is one of the best ways to reclaim some responsibility for saving the planet.
There are economical advantages to creating an off grid system too. Once the initial cost is covered you will be saving money every day; your household is likely to be more efficient because you will be on a limited supply and thinking much more about the power your home uses.
