Growing your own food is one of the best choices you can make to improve your life. There are so many advantages: You get to spend time outdoors, do some exercise, be closer to nature, save money and then eat the results of your efforts!

It’s not necessary to have a big garden or allotment, it’s easy to convert an area of your garden or to make room for a few pots here and there – in fact it’s best to start off small if you’re new to gardening, you can always grow a bit more next year, this will stop you from becoming discouraged if you can’t keep up with the maintenance of a larger plot.
Another great way to make a difference is to support your local food producers by shopping at a farmers’ market, joining a Community Supported Agriculture scheme (in the US) or an organic box scheme (widely available in the UK).
