Here’s a super fast video demonstration of 6 quick, simple household life hacks. These are fantastic and very easy to remember – once you’ve seen them you will be sure to use at least a few.

1. Make ice cream keep in top condition longer by wrapping the carton in tinfoil and keeping out the frost.

2. Reopen accidentally closed tabs in Firefox or Chrome by using the key combination Ctrl-Shift T. I didn’t know this one! Note that’s for PC’s. On Macs it is Shift-Command-T. You can also reopen a Chrome tab using the menu selection History > Recently Closed.

3. Use an egg carton as a homemade ice tray in a pinch.

4. Put on a rubber cleaning glove to help open a tight jar.

5. Put some cinnamon sprinkles in boiling water in a pan to remove lingering odors.

6. Use a stick of spaghetti / fettucini as a splint to light a jar candle that has burned down low and you can’t reach inside!
